TESTIMONIALS

"The Rocky Mountain Retreat was the perfect balance of inspiring creativity, connecting with other incredible creatives, and having down time to build friendships and soak it all in. There was time to relax, mixed with shooting inspiring locations, and taking photos I am proud of. I went home with new friends, updated headshots, and a spark for mindfulness in my business. The meditating and yoga was a rejuvenating cherry on top of a weekend I would hands down repeat the weekend if given the opportunity! I would truly highly recommend the RMR to other photographers or creatives."

- Nikki

"This was my first photography workshop|retreat so I didn’t know what to expect! My sole mission was to go somewhere beautiful with a group of young leaders who would inspire me and leave me rejuvenated for the fall season. Sam, Amanda, Ali, and Alisha did just that! They each put in a lot of heart into the retreat and made everyone comfortable. I truly appreciated that and I know others did too.

I’m also very thankful they were open to me doing makeup for the models and utilizing both passions of mine. I had a blast doing it and they really made me feel like I was the greatest. Best hype women! Thanks for everything ladies!!"

- Thuy

"Rocky Mountain Retreat was such a fun, inspiring, and rewarding experience! Ali, Alisha, Amanda, Nikki, and Sam are so talented and knowledgeable when it comes to photography/videography, as well as the kindest, most down to earth humans you will ever meet. The retreat consisted of educational sessions in which each one of them tackled an area of the industry - from back end of business, work/balance, and going full time in the business. The styled shoots were so beautiful, the models were so easy to work with, and it gave the photographers the opportunity to work together and learn from one another. I would highly recommend a future retreat to anyone wanting to further their photography skills ears build their business. Whether you are just starting out or been in the business for awhile, you will not regret it. It was a fun, rewarding experience and I loved it!"

MEET THE HOSTS

wedding creatives based in NE

We’re four wedding professionals who became close friends over the years and eventually workshop co-hosts. We’ve seen each other at our peaks and valleys and have found commonalities in our experiences and struggles as creatives.

While busy season is both a blessing and a curse, we agreed that solopreneurs are often left feeling depleted mentally and physically, and creatively.

Thus, the Rocky Mountain Retreat was born to help creatives connect with an often neglected part of their business: themselves.

With love,

Amanda, Alisha, Ali, and Sam

ALISHA CERNY

@alishalcerny

Alisha is a cinematic wedding filmmaker with a mentality to pursue the unconventional. She creates authentic heirloom films for couples to be transported back to their wedding day for generations to come.

Alisha lives in Lincoln with her husband, Andy, and sweet pup Winnie. She loves movies and TV, in fact, going to the movie theatre is one of her favorite things to do! Alisha also loves getting out into nature, and is an aspiring plant lady. Tips and tricks are welcome!
